PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
- The ES-335 with classic 50s-era character delivers vintage tone, feel, and styling for players who appreciate the defining features of early Gibson instruments. Built for musicians who favor specific eras, this model captures the essence of the original 1958 ES-335 while offering modern reliability and consistency.
- The ES-335 50s features a semi-hollow, thinline body constructed from three-ply maple, poplar, and maple, paired with a solid maple centerblock that enhances sustain and significantly reduces feedback. Single-ply cream binding on the top and back adds a clean, vintage-inspired look.
- The mahogany neck is carved into a substantial Rounded C profile, providing a full and comfortable grip. A bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and traditional acrylic dot inlays recreates the classic dot neck aesthetic. Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, combined with a Graph Tech nut, ensure stable and reliable tuning. The headstock is finished with a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and crown inlay.
- An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge and aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece provide strong sustain and precise intonation adjustment. The guitar is powered by a pair of Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets, delivering warm, dynamic tones inspired by late-1950s Patent Applied For humbuckers. Each pickup is paired with hand-wired 500k volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle switch for versatile sound shaping.
- Completing the vintage look are a 59-style five-ply long pickguard and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. Available in Vintage Tobacco Burst, Vintage Natural, and Ebony gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, the ES-335 50s includes a Gibson hardshell caseideal for players seeking authentic vintage character with modern craftsmanship.
