- The ES-335 with classic 50s-era character brings vintage tone, feel, and aesthetics to modern players who appreciate historical accuracy. Designed for those who favor the distinct features of early Gibson instruments, the ES-335 50s revives the foundational elements of the original 1958 models. Its semi-hollow thinline body is crafted from three-ply maple, poplar, and maple, paired with a solid maple centerblock that enhances sustain while minimizing feedback. Single-ply cream binding on the top and back adds a refined vintage touch.
- The mahogany neck features a substantial Rounded C profile, offering a full and comfortable grip reminiscent of early ES-335 guitars. A bound rosewood fretboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and classic acrylic dot inlays completes the authentic dot neck look. Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons and a Graph Tech nut ensure reliable tuning stability, while the headstock is adorned with a mother-of-pearl Gibson logo and crown inlay.
- An ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge paired with an aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece delivers excellent sustain and precise intonation control. The ES-335 50s is equipped with a pair of Custombucker pickups with Alnico 3 magnets, recreating the warm, dynamic tone of late-1950s Patent Applied For humbuckers. Each pickup is connected to hand-wired 500k volume and tone controls, along with a three-way toggle switch for versatile tonal shaping.
- Completing the vintage aesthetic are a 59-style five-ply long pickguard and gold Top Hat knobs with dial pointers. Available in Vintage Tobacco Burst, Vintage Natural, and Ebony gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finishes, the ES-335 50s comes with a Gibson hardshell caseperfect for players seeking the authentic feel and sound of one of Gibsons most iconic guitars.
