Our Academy Series guitars serve up signature Taylor playing comfort and vibrant tone, making them a great option for developing players and experienced musicians alike. Three new limited-edition Academy models — two steel-string and one nylon-string — showcase an enhanced visual aesthetic while staying within the budget range of anyone looking for a full-voiced Taylor. Each guitar features a solid torrefied spruce top paired with gorgeous layered Hawaiian koa back and sides. The outer layer boasts dramatically figured AA-grade koa, making these some of our most visually stunning Academy Series models to date. The specially roasted soundboard yields a balanced and dynamic tone profile with plenty of projection along with played-in warmth and sweetness.
Academy 10e LTD: This Dreadnought body shape delivers a robust sound that’s perfect for flatpickers and strummers.
This model feature a carved armrest that ensures a smoother strumming-arm experience, while a slim Taylor neck profile and optimized setup offer more relaxed fretting. Other notables include Italian acrylic fretboard dot inlays, an ES-B pickup with a built-in digital tuner, chrome tuning machines (steel-string) or classical nickel with faux-pearl buttons (nylon-string).
