Rickenbacker has a reputation of delivering excellent bass guitars, so much so, that many famous artists have been using Rickenbacker basses… from the past, like Paul McCartney to today, like Cliff Burton from Metallica. The Rickenbacker 4003 has been in production since 1979, and continues to be a favorite among bass guitarists. It features a neck through body construction, which helps to deliver sustaining bass tones, for which Rickenbacker 4003 is famous. Though it provides an excellent bass response, it’s not overpowered, as it features two single-coil pickups for balance and tonal clarity. You can’t go wrong with a Rickenbacker 4003.
