The Ernie Ball Music Man Cutlass HT guitar is the newest edition to the ever-growing family of Ernie Ball Music Man instruments. Featuring the familiar shape and feel of previous Cutlass models, the Cutlass HT showcases new custom Music Man pickup technology inspired by over a decade of guitar string research delivering an incredibly dynamic and responsive playing experience. The pickups are able to achieve an ultra-high-output, powerful low-end response while retaining a distinctively clean, clear tone at lower volume levels. This set of three HT (Heat Treated) pickups uses patent-pending pole pieces and a large neodymium magnet which provides remarkable definition. The bridge pickup has been overwound with plain enamel magnet wire providing a strong, powerful tone, while the neck and middle pickups have been underwound with heavy formvar magnet wire for a more traditional voice. All three pickups have been crafted for a complimentary tonal offering across all five switch positions. In addition, the electronics package includes a push-push adjustable 20dB boost function and a transparent buffered output for complete tonal consistency wherever your volume control is set. The Cutlass HT shares many of the standard specifications of the original Cutlass guitar, including a contoured Alder body, a roasted figured maple neck, 22 stainless frets, Schaller locking tuners, and Music Man vintage tremolo.

HT SINGLE COIL PICKUPS

PUSH PUSH BOOST CIRCUIT
The Cutlass HT preamp boost is activated by a push-push volume knob and is factory set to 12db. Via a trim pot inside the control cavity, the preamp can be adjusted up to 20db if needed for heavy rhythm parts or high octane soloing whenever the user chooses.
TRANSPARENT BUFFERED OUTPUT
No matter where your volume control is set, the transparent buffered output preserves your signal from high-frequency loss and keeps your tone bright and strong.
SILENT CIRCUIT
The Cutlass HT uses our patented Silent Circuit, which generates a hum signal that’s out of phase with the hum signal being produced by each single-coil pickup. Essentially, the silent circuit is creating and infusing opposite frequencies generated by the actual pickup to neutralize the sound of the hum. What you hear is the pure unadulterated natural tone of the pickup without the annoying 60-cycle buzz.
