The SRD900F is a fretless Soundgear series solid body electric bass model introduced by Ibanez for 2024. It is produced in Indonesia by as part of the Ibanez Bass Workshop line.
The SRD900F features an exotic maple top on a double-cutaway semi-hollow okume body bolted to a maple and walnut neck with a fretless panga panga fingerboard with and abalone oval inlays. Components include individually mounted MR5 bridges with integrated AeroSilk piezo pickups and 19mm string spacing, a pair of Nordstrand Big Break pickups chanelled to an Ibanez 2-band EQ with piezo active tone, a plastic nut, black hardware, and die-cast tuning machines. In addition to the controls on the front of the bass, there are a set of four trimpots on the rear cavity cover which allow you to dial in the piezo volume for each string individually.
The SRD900F has an extended 30-fret fingerboard for playing upper register notes usually only accessible on an upright. The AeroSilk MR5 bridge has unique saddles which were specifically-designed to work in concert with the piezo pickups, enhancing the acoustic upright quality of the tone.
The SRD905F is a five string version.
