The Gretsch G6129TG-59VS Limited Edition Sparkle Jet in Red Sparkle channels the golden era of Gretsch while delivering a stage-ready instrument built with modern precision. Inspired by the late ’50s originals, it balances vintage vibe with contemporary playability, making it ideal for players who want true retro character without compromise.
At its core, this Sparkle Jet features a chambered mahogany body topped with arched maple. The design creates a lively, resonant tone with rich harmonics and plenty of articulation, whether you’re playing sparkling cleans or pushing into overdrive. Dual TV Jones Ray Butts Ful-Fidelity Filter’Tron pickups faithfully capture the sound of 1959 Filter’Trons—crisp lows, chimey highs, and that unmistakable Gretsch midrange growl that defined countless classic recordings.
Playability matches the tone: a 12" radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets feels smooth and responsive, paired with a comfortable Standard "U" neck profile. The Space Control bridge with pinned ebony base and Bigsby B3GP String-Thru tailpiece ensure both accurate intonation and expressive vibrato, while Grover Sta-Tite tuners lock in tuning stability.
Visually, the Red Sparkle finish is pure vintage glamour, highlighted by gold hardware, aged pearloid Neo Classic thumbnail inlays, and a gold plexi pickguard with the black Gretsch logo. Finished in nitrocellulose lacquer, it has the period-correct look and will gracefully age with time.
