Gibson F-5 Master Model Mandolin 1974 player condition
This 1974 Gibson F-5 Master Model Mandolin is a true vintage treasure for the discerning player. Built during the Norlin era, this instrument features the signature F-style body with ornate scrollwork, a carved spruce top, and a flame maple back and sides. The neck is also flame maple with a bound ebony fingerboard and classic mother-of-pearl dot inlays. Though it shows signs of wear and repair consistent with its age, this F-5 delivers powerful chop, bright trebles, and rich midrange—hallmarks of the classic Gibson bluegrass sound. A fantastic choice for serious players looking for vintage tone at a working musician's price.
