Gibson Custom Shop 1939 SJ100 – Heavy Aged Vintage Sunburst
This Custom Shop Murphy Lab recreation replicates the extremely rare mahogany-backed Super Jumbo 100 produced only between 1939–1942. With a thermally aged red spruce top, hand-scalloped X-bracing, and a matching aged mahogany back and sides, this instrument exudes authentic vintage tone and aesthetic. It features a 2-piece maple neck, bound ebony fingerboard, vintage firestripe pickguard, ebony moustache bridge, and the iconic “stair-step” headstock with Gibson script logo. The Murphy Lab finish gives it that cherished, well-played look — without decades of wear. The perfect heirloom-quality instrument for players and collectors alike.
