That's what you're getting here, a painstaking replica of one of the most sought-after electrics of all time. 1956 was the only full year in which the Les Paul featured powerful P-90 pickups with the adjustable ABR-1 bridge and top bar setup. This killer combination allowed the Standard to intonate, sustain, and roar like never before. The Gibson Custom Shop has captured the look, feel and searing sound of an original 1956 Les Paul in exhaustive detail. It features a hand-picked flame maple top over mahogany body with a factory burst finish. True Historic replica appointments include narrow/tall frets and hot hide glue construction. The Gibson 56 Les Paul Standard VOS comes with a brown/pink Lifton reissue hardshell case, custom switchplate medallion (w/ historic brown plastic cover in case), a certificate of authenticity and Historic Reissue hang tags. Gloss-finished flame maple top on mahogany body. Mahogany neck with medium-C chunky profile, rosewood fretboard. Dual Gibson Custom P-90 single coils, 3-way switch. ABR-1 tune-o-matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, Kluson deluxe tuners.
