Description:
Furch Violet D-SM – An all solid guitar at a great price
Furch’s Violet series is their entry series. One might immediately think “entry” = laminated woods, right? Well, not here! At around 1000$, the Furch Violet D-SM does not compromise on woods and comes with a solid A Sitka Spruce top and solid AA African Mahogany body. This beloved wood combination delivers warm lows, open highs and is overall great for all musical styles.
The Tone
We spoke about the woods a little, so let’s talk about tone. As mentioned above, the Furch Violet D-SM sports a classic wood combination, known for projecting balanced sound. Playing the Violet D-SM, we feel it has healthy lows, tamed and accurate. The upper mid range is well defined and audible and the highs are smooth. Sustain wise, the Furch Violet D-SM has a longer sustain across the upper frequency range.
Individually tuned top
Even Furch’s entry series guitars receive top tunning. The top of the Furch Violet D-SM is tuned in a process called voicing. Each top receives great attention with the goal to enrich the guitar’s harmonies, response, clarity and balance.
