With its slim mahogany body, comfortable SlimTaper neck and Custombucker humbuckers, the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom ‘63 LP Custom Reissue gives you iconic rock and blues sound. Slim Mahogany Body and Long Tenon Neck
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom ‘63 Les Paul SG Custom has the same slim, beveled mahogany body and glued-in mahogany neck that made the 1963 Gibson SG so comfortable to play and resonant. Its long neck tenon provides increased sustain and stability. The SlimTaper neck has a fast feel that makes it easy to play fast riffs and solos up and down the fingerboard. The 22-fret bound ebony fingerboard has a 12" radius and vintage-style block inlays for smooth bends and an authentic look. With its lightweight, contoured body and fast neck, the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom ‘63 LP Custom Reissue gives you vintage SG tone and playability.
Historically Accurate Details for Vintage Style
From its split-diamond headstock inlay to its vintage tuners, this Epiphone is all about historic details. It features a bound Gibson-style "open book" headstock with a pearloid split diamond inlay, just like the 1963 original. The headstock, fingerboard and body are all bound in single-ply binding for an authentically vintage look. The guitar comes in a Vintage Original Sheen (VOS) Classic White finish for a played-in appearance. Other details like mother-of-pearl block fingerboard inlays, nylon nut and 18:1 ratio Grover Rotomatic tuners with gold plating give this Custom Shop Epiphone the premium vintage vibe of a true golden-era SG.
Custombuckers Deliver Classic Rock and Blues Tone
The Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Les Paul SG Custom electric guitar with Maestro Vibrola comes loaded with a pair of Gibson Custombucker humbucking pickups that provide the warm, rich tone the SG is known for. The neck pickup has increased midrange for smooth leads, while the bridge pickup provides tighter lows and bite for aggressive rhythms, which adds punch for the middle switch position where the middle and bridge pickups are used in combination. Each pickup uses alnico magnets and enamel coated wire, with historically accurate uneven coil windings. They are also wax potted to reduce microphonic feedback. The pickups are hand wired with high-quality components like CTS potentiometers, Mallory capacitors and a Switchcraft selector toggle switch and output jack. Just like the original 1963 SG guitar, this Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom 1963 Les Paul SG Custom gives you legendary humbucker tone.
