Amazing condition for the age, some discoloration in the case and sfinish discoloration on the heel from aging.  Overall the guitar has aged nicely and plays like a dream.  These are very hard to find especially in this condition HAND MADE IN THE USA.

Steve Andersen has been highly respected in the archtop world for many years and judging by this beautiful ornate Emerald City Archtop Guitar you can see why. Beautifully gilded with Deco Mother-of-Pearl appointments on the headstock and fingerboard and handcrafted bridge, pickguard, and tailpiece this guitar should be in an art gallery as much as it should be on stage. However, it is the tone that really sets it apart! Acoustically this Emerald City Archtop has a warm, rich and strong voice. It is beautifully clear but packs a real punch.

Borrowing its moniker from a popular nickname for Seattle, the Emerald City is among the most ornate of the Andersen archtop guitars. It’s curvaceous lines are stylistically inspired by the Art Deco movement of the early 1900’s. Careful attention to detail and timeless elegance combine to make the Emerald City an object of beauty, as well as a remarkable sounding guitar.
