In 1968 Gibson introduced the Gibson Blue Ridge Acoustic Guitar, it was a flat top, natural finish, with laminated Brazilian rosewood back and sides, maple on the inside, and in 1979 they were discontinued and reintroduced in 1989 and ended production in 1990 . The Gibson blue ridge is simple aesthetically, has a great tone, rich bass and powerful highs. Great guitar for blues, slide, and bluegrass.
