CONDITION: AS SEEN PER PHOTO, The guitar is in good shape, Output jack repaired and resoldered by our tech.

If you're at all familiar with the tonality of an SG, you'll find it here in this guitar. While the 'Junior' style configuration is more stripped down, the fundamental tone of this thin-bodied slab Mahogany electric is very much present. With its single dogear P90 pickup and wraparound bridge/tailpiece, the presence and attack are right up front along with great clarity and top end. The lack of a second pickup allows the lone P90 to absorb all of the string activity, which increases harmonic complexity, dynamic response, and the pickup's relation to the volume and tone controls. These are deceptively versatile, where a simple adjustment of the volume and/or tone control can change the character of the guitar. Bright, snappy, almost tele-like to fat, round, and meaty without so much as a twist of a knob or two.

In typical early 60s fashion, this LP/SG Junior has a very comfortable slim C neck profile that plays very fast with a nice lean taper. The slimmer neck definitely makes the guitar feel a little more balanced than some of the bigger necked SGs. Acoustically, it's very lively and resonant, and playability is great.
