This Cherry Hill Custom model celebrates Martin s humble origins and specifically commemorates Christian Frederi.

The Martin Custom Shop Cherry Hill D 14-Fret Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar represents a distinctive tribute to a pivotal era in Martin Guitars' rich history. In 1839, the trailblazing Christian Martin I relocated from bustling Manhattan, New York to the serene landscapes of Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania. This pivotal move marked a significant turning point for Martin as a company, firmly anchoring its roots in the heart of Pennsylvania. Remarkably, the present-day Martin factory in Nazareth, Pennsylvania, stands a mere half-mile away from the original Cherry Hill location established by C.F. Martin I.

One of the most remarkable features of this Custom Shop Martin is its Cherry wood back and sides construction. Cherry, an American hardwood, boasts tonal and visual characteristics akin to Mahogany. Martin Guitars has gracefully embraced the qualities of this remarkable wood with this Custom Shop Dreadnought.

Additional standout features of the Custom Shop Martin Cherry Hill Dreadnought include a Spruce top with an Aging Toner Gloss finish, with Scalloped X-bracing to enhance its acoustic resonance. The neck receives a Satin finish and Martin's High-Performance Taper for superior playability. Its Ebony fingerboard is inlayed with Martin's elegant yet subtly refined Diamond and Squares pattern, while Nickel Open Gear tuning machines and a Tortoise pattern pickguard round out the package.

Delivered with a Martin Hardshell Case and factory-fitted with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan light gauge strings, this guitar serves as a poignant representation of a significant chapter in Martin's illustrious history. It stands as a beautifully crafted testament to this era and is gracefully presented in the form of the Martin Custom Shop Cherry Hill 000 14-Fret Acoustic Guitar.
